Aston Villa have been backed to eliminate Liverpool in the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup billed to take place at Villa Park on Tuesday night.
This is according to the publication from the Independent which predicted that Aston Villa will beat a youthful Liverpool squad 3-1 to secure their spot in the semifinals of the competition this season.
Liverpool will have to negotiate the Carabao Cup quarterfinal tie at the home of Aston Villa on Tuesday night with the young players due to the involvement of the senior players at the ongoing 2019 FIFA Club World Cup tournament in Qatar.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp said that his players won’t be able to handle two games in the space of one day in different countries thereby leading to the situation where the Liverpool u23 players will play the Carabao Cup clash with Aston Villa.
Also, Liverpool u23 manager Neil Critchley will be in charge of the team for the match at Villa Park.
Liverpool youngsters like Harvey Elliott, Pedro Chirivella and Rhian Brewster have all played in the Carabao Cup this season even when the senior players were involved and they are expected to form the backbone of the Reds team at Villa Park.
