Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Donny Van Der Beek has reportedly turned down a move to Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.
This is according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf which said that new Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has tried and failed to lure Dutch international Donny Van Der Beek away from Ajax Amsterdam ahead of the resumption of the January transfer window next month.
Spurs were interested in signing Donny Van Der Beek from Ajax Amsterdam in the summer but nothing came out of their quest to sign him.

Ex-Chelsea and Manchester United boss Mourinho has also tried to change his stance on a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur with the player holding out for a dream move to Real Madrid.
Ajax Amsterdam star Donny Van Der Beek is rated at around £60m and he could move to Real Madrid next summer though that is dependent on their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Real Madrid have made Paul Pogba their first-choice midfield target ahead of next summer and will only turn their attention to Donny Van Der Beek if they are unable to sign the Frenchman.
Donny Van Der Beek was part of the Ajax Amsterdam squad that won two trophies last season namely the league title and the cup title.
