Jamie Vardy

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy continued his good form in front of goal following his brace in the 4-1 win over league newcomers Aston Villa during their Premier League outing on Sunday evening.

Jamie Vardy was able to add two goals to his tally to take him to 16 league goals for the season at the top of the Premier League goalscoring chart.

The retired England international has now scored in eight successive games in the Premier League thereby making him only the second man to score in at least eight straight Premier League games on two occasions.

He equaled the record set by former Manchester United striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

The Manchester United legend scored in ten successive games in the Premier League and also scores in eight straight Premier League matches another time.

Jamie Vardy holds the record for at least a goal in the most successive games with 11 as set in 2015.

He was able to break the record of Ruud Van Nistelrooy four years ago by netting in 11 straight matches.

Apart from Jamie Vardy, Jonny Evans and Kelechi Iheanacho also got on the scoresheet for Leicester City, while the lone Aston Villa goal was scored by star player Jack Grealish.
