Toffees manager Marco Silva is under serious pressure to hold on to his job with the club two points above the relegation zone after 14 league games.
The big news ahead of the first Merseyside Derby of the season is the absence of first-choice Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker who will miss the game as a result of suspension following the red card he received at the weekend against Brighton.
Second choice Adrian will deputize for him in goal for the Everton game.
