Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez is not ready to move to the Premier League with North London giants Arsenal as he wants to stay at the Estadio Santiago Bernebeu and fight for his place.

Earlier reports had said that the Gunners want to sign James Rodriguez during the January transfer window in a £35m deal.

Spanish publication El Desmarque was very clear with the Gunners’ interest in James Rodriguez who has also been linked with a lot of other major Premier League teams.

Other English top flight teams like Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United had been touted as possible transfer destinations for James Rodriguez in the summer.

James Rodriguez won’t be moving to Arsenal anytime soon according to Marca who said that the Colombian international wants to stay and fight for his place at Real Madrid.

He returned to Real Madrid this summer from a loan spell at Bayern Munich and is keen to establish himself in the team again

Form and fitness will be important to achieve this target as he has been restricted to just seven league games this term.

James Rodriguez has one goal and one assist from his seven league games at Real Madrid.
