Italian tactician Marco Giampaolo secured the AC Milan job after a successful spell at fellow Serie A club Sampdoria, but he was unable to replicate that success with AC Milan and that led to his sack.
His dismissal from the AC Milan managerial job led to the advent of Stefano Pioli as the Rossoneri boss.
Fabio Borini has been restricted to just 70 minutes of football since Stefano Pioli was named the AC Milan and that has led to the possibility of the player returning to the Premier League.
Crystal Palace are in pole position to sign Italian international Borini.
