Reigning Europa League finalists Arsenal are surprisingly plotting a move for one of the best left-backs in the Premier League.

This is according to the report from the stables of the Daily Star which claimed that the Gunners are keeping tabs on Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell.

England international Chilwell is the first choice left-back for both club and country in addition to the fact that the player has been one of the best left-backs in the top flight of English football.

Ben Chilwell is a key part of a Leicester City side that has surprised a lot of football fans, pundits etc. by rising up to second position on the league table.

He has been previously linked with Arsenal before the Gunners settled for Kieran Tierney whom they signed in the summer.

Kieran Tierney was signed from Scottish champions Celtic for a fee of around £25m this summer.

The Scotland international was widely regarded as the best left-back in the Scottish Premier League before Arsenal signed him and it would be surprising for the Gunners to sign another quality left-back in quick succession.

Ben Chilwell is rated at around £31.5m as per the above mentioned report but the Englishman will definitely command more than that money if Leicester City decide to sell him.
