Manchester United said to be keeping close tabs on Leicester City defender Calgar Soyunku who joined the Foxes during the summer.

It was reported prior to the start of season that the King Power outfit bought the 23-year-old from Freigburg to replace Harry Maguire who moved to Solskjaer’s side.

The Turkish international wasted no time before winning a permanent spot in Rodgers first eleven, thanks to his consistent performance at the heart of the defence.

His impressive display so far didn’t just make him a regular stater in Brendan Rodgers’ team, he has equally attracted the attention of United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Pep Guardiola.

According to reports from the player’s country via The Fanatik, the Red Devils are keeping close tabs on him as they seek to improving their defensive record in the second period of the campaign.

The same media source revealed that Solskjaer is willing to pay nothing less than £43m on Soyuncu to beat City in the race for the player.

City manager Pep Guardiola has seen his top defenders suffered from injuries this season and he is now said to be eyeing a possible swoop for the Turkish star ahead of the next transfer market.
