Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United are targeting a striker signing ahead of the winter transfer window which opens in the next five weeks.
According to the London Evening Standard, Manchester United officials have already drawn up a three-man shortlist in their search for a striker to replace Romelu Lukaku in the long-term.
Manchester United sold Lukaku to Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan in the summer but we’re unable to replace him till the Premier League transfer window ended in August and just a day before the current league season started.
The Red Devils have struggled for goals on some occasions in the Premier League this season in the absence of the aforementioned Lukaku.

Manchester United have made highly rated Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland their number one striker target ahead of the January transfer window according to the aforementioned report.

RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is the first alternative to Erling Haaland, while Bournemouth star Callum Wilson is the second striker alternative.
