He is likely to lose his job in the Premier League ahead of his next opponents Unai Emery and West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Under his watch, Southampton have drawn one and lost four of their last five games in the Premier League including the 9-0 mauling received at the hands of Leicester City.
The Foxes were able to set a new record for the widest win margin away from home in the Premier League courtesy the goals from Jamie Vardy (3), Ayoze Perez (3), James Maddison, Youri Tielemans and Ben Chilwell.
Southampton played the majority of that game with ten men after left-back Ryan Bertrand was sent off in the first half.
