Chelsea midfielder Jorginho was amongst the goals as Italy ran riot against Armenia in their final qualifier for Euro 2020.

The ex-Napoli player scored a 75th minute penalty to aid his team to a 9-1 win over Armenia in what was a Group J game.

Jorginho became a Chelsea player last summer following his £57m transfer from Italian Serie A giants Napoli.

The emphatic win over Armenia ensured that the Italians finished their Euro 2020 qualifiers without any blemish.

It was their 10th straight win in the qualifiers as they ended Group J with a perfect record of 10 wins from the 10 games played.

Italy manager Roberto Mancini has been able to transform the fortunes of the team within a short space of time after the four-time world champions failed to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

The Italians were the second team to book their place at Euro 2020 behind Belgium.

Against the Armeninans, Lazio striker Ciro Immobile and AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo svored two goals apiece.

Apart from the trio of Jorginho, Immobile and Zaniolo, Bologna winger Riccardo Orsolini, Fiorentina forward Federico Chiesa, AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli and Inter Milan star Nicolo Barella were also on the scoresheet.

Edgar Babayan got the lone goal for the visitors.
