North London giants Arsenal have reportedly turned their attention to Villarreal defender Pau Torres in their quest to find a permanent solution to their defensive woes.
According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to make a move for Pau Torres to ease the defensive issues in his team.
Pau Torres has a £43m release clause in his Villarreal contract and the Gunners will have to pay it before they sign the recently capped Spanish international.
The center-back made his debut for the Spanish national team during the recent Euro 2020 qualifier at home to Malta.

He came on as a substitute for team captain Sergio Ramos as Spain ran riot against Malta in their penultimate Euro 2020 qualifier in Group E.
Pau Torres scored two minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute for Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos.
Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Villarreal teammate Santi Cazorla scored in the first half to give Spain a 2-0 lead at the halftime interval before Pau Torres added a third goal on 62 minutes.
Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker Pablo Sarabia added a fourth goal before the trio of Dani Olmo, Gerard Moreno and Jesus Navas got on the scoresheet to give Spain a comprehensive 7-0 victory.
