Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United could finally lay their hands on one of their long-term targets during the upcoming January transfer window.
Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is a long-term transfer target for Manchester United and The Sun claimed that the Welsh international could move to the club during the winter transfer market in January.
It was revealed that Gareth Bale is ready to call time on his career at Real Madrid and Manchester United could be an exciting option.
Bale has a contract at Real Madrid until 2022 and he earns around £650,000 on a weekly basis though that figure is expected to drop if he leaves the Spanish club.

Gareth Bale came close to leaving Real Madrid in the summer but the move was blocked by club president Florentino Perez at the eleventh hour.
The Welshman was expected to join Chinese Super League outfit Jiangsu Suning for free on weekly wages of £1m.
The aforementioned publication said that Real Madrid pulled the plug on the deal as they wanted a transfer fee for the player.
Real Madrid would ask for a swap deal involving Gareth Bale and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba but it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils would be keen on the transfer.
