Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United have been given a big boost on the injury front ahead of their next game.

The Red Devils have received a major injury boost ahead of the upcoming Premier League trip to league newcomers Sheffield United with the update on right-back Diogo Dalot.

Portuguese junior international Diogo Dalot posted an update on his injury via his official Instagram page as he said that he’s getting closer to full fitness.

The Manchester United player has missed the last seven games in all competitions since suffering the injury during the Premier League trip to Newcastle United last month.

He was unable to prevent hosts Newcastle United from beating Manchester United 1-0 courtesy the second half strike from debutant Matty Longstaff.

The Newcastle United midfielder and younger brother of Sean Longstaff scored the only goal of the game on his first league game for his boyhood club.

Manchester United have improved a great deal since that defeat to the Magpies.

They have won five of their last six games in all competitions ahead of the game against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday.

Sheffield United are the surprise package of the season so far with the Blades in fifth position with 17 points.

Manchester United are two places further back with 16 points from 12 league games.
