Chelsea Winger Reveals Why He Signed A New Contract
Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has revealed the influence behind the decision to extend his contract at the club.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was seriously linked with a move away from Chelsea earlier in the year with the likes of German champions Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund before he signed a five-year contract extension until the end of the 2013/14 season.
The young Chelsea winger even tried to engineer a move away from Stamford Bridge by submitting a transfer request in January 2018 amidst the strong interest from Bayern Munich but Chelsea were adamant that the England international is not for sale despite the numerous bids made by the Bavarian giants.

On the influence behind his new contract, Callum Hudson-Odoi said that new Blues boss Frank Lampard was a major catalyst and that it took just one conversation with him before he arrived at the decision to sign a new Chelsea deal.
Callum Hudson-Odoi recently returned to the Chelsea team after a lengthy absence as a result of the Achilles injury he sustained during a league game against Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of last season.
