Chelsea Winger Closing In On New Five-Year Contract
Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly on the verge of signing a new contract at the club.
This is according to The Express which claimed that Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to sign a five-year deal until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The young Chelsea winger was initially reluctant to sign a new contract on the back of the lack of adequate playing time under former manager Maurizio Sarri.
He broke into the Chelsea team during preseason of the last campaign and many Blues fans expected him to kick on but his growth was stunted under Sarri in the first half of the season.

Buoyed by the pressure from Chelsea fans, Italian tactician Maurizio Sarri gave him an extended run in the starting XI before he grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was a regular in the Chelsea starting XI in the second half of last season before he suffered an Achilles injury.
He has not played for new manager Frank Lampard as a result of that injury though it must be pointed out that the England international is closing in on a return to the first team.
Ex-Blues midfielder Lampard replaced Sarri as the Chelsea manager and the desire to give youth players a chance in his team has convinced Callum Hudson-Odoi that his long-term future lies at Stamford Bridge.
