EPL: Frank Lampard Bags Another Award

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has been named the Manager of the Month for October.

The former Blues midfielder was rightfully named the recipient of the award after leading Chelsea to three wins in the month of October.

Frank Lampard won the award ahead of the likes of Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, Brighton and Hove Albion boss Graham Potter and Aston Villa manager Dean Smith.

Frank Lampard and Chelsea have won their last five games in the Premier League, and that has propelled them six points clear of the nearest challengers Arsenal in the race for the top four places.

Chelsea are fourth on the Premier League table at the moment after recording 23 points from 11 league games ahead of London rivals Arsenal who are in the fifth position with 17 points from the same number of games played.

Lampard and Chelsea started October with the thumping 4-1 away win over Southampton through goals from Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante and second-half substitute Michy Batshuayi.

Chelsea went on to beat Newcastle United 1-0 at home courtesy the second-half strike from left-back Marcos Alonso.

The last league game of the month was the 4-2 win at the home of Burnley with American international Christian Pulisic netting a hattrick.
