Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar often discloses his desire to build a relatively young team that will win many trophies in the nearest future.

As part of his move to achieve his goal, the Norwegian tactician has promoted some academy youngsters, including Mason Greenwood and Williams, to the first-team squad.

He is often seen in the stands during some U23 games to watch other young talents who are ready for first-team opportunities.

Solskjaer isn’t resting yet as he has sent his scouts to run the rule over Italy U17 international Lorenzo Pirola at the ongoing U17 World Cup in Brazil.

Pirola, 17, currently plays for Inter Milan youth squad but he could be leaving the Serie A side after the cadet championship, according to FC Inter News.

The media source revealed that the youngster has been awe-inspiring in Brazil having helped his country qualified to the knockout stages of the competition.

It is also said that Manchester City are equally satisfied with the player’s performances so far, and they are ready to move for his services after the tournament.

This means that the two Manchester clubs are set for a crunch battle for Pirola’s service in January, though, Inter Milan are doing everything possible to tie him down beyond this season.
