Pirola, 17, currently plays for Inter Milan youth squad but he could be leaving the Serie A side after the cadet championship, according to FC Inter News.
The media source revealed that the youngster has been awe-inspiring in Brazil having helped his country qualified to the knockout stages of the competition.
It is also said that Manchester City are equally satisfied with the player’s performances so far, and they are ready to move for his services after the tournament.
This means that the two Manchester clubs are set for a crunch battle for Pirola’s service in January, though, Inter Milan are doing everything possible to tie him down beyond this season.
