Spanish champions Barcelona have been handed a major injury boost ahead of their Champions League clash at home to Italian Serie A leaders Inter Milan with the news that star player Lionel Messi has returned to training ahead of the game.
Barcelona host Inter Milan at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night in what’s a Matchday 2 encounter in the Champions League and the aforementioned Messi is expected to play a part in the game either as a starter or as a substitute.
Recently crowned FIFA Men’s Player of the Year Messi has had an injury-hit start to the season and that has restricted him to just three games including one start and two substitute appearances.
His first appearance of the season came in the Champions League encounter with German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 1.

Lionel Messi came on as a second half substitute as Barcelona were forced to a goalless draw at the home of Borussia Dortmund.
His impact has been felt with Barcelona struggling to achieve result both on the domestic scene and on the European scene.

Messi missed that game as goals from Luis Suarez and summer signing Junior Firpo earned the points for the Spanish champions.
