Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an injury update on star midfielder Paul Pogba.

Solskjaer gave the update on the ankle injury currently troubling French World Cup winner Paul Pogba during his pre-match press conference on Wednesday ahead of the Europa League clash with Serbian top flight side Partizan Belgrade.

Manchester United play hosts to Partizan Belgrade at Old Trafford on Thursday evening in what is a Matchday Four clash.

The Red Devils can book their place in the knockout stage of the Europa League this season with a win over Partizan Belgrade.

In his pre-match press conference, Solskjaer confirmed that Paul Pogba is closing in on a return to action.

According to him, Paul Pogba has assured him that he wants to return to action as soon as possible and that the Frenchman is working hard to return to full fitness.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that Paul Pogba would remove the cast on his ankle soonest and that he’ll step up his recovery during the international break later this month.

Paul Pogba has been battling with a troublesome ankle injury since the start of this season and he has been restricted to just six games as a result.
