In-form Premier League club Chelsea have drawn up a transfer shortlist ahead of the January transfer window according to the Daily Express.

Chelsea are under a transfer ban but the club is hopeful that it would be overturned at the end of the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) ruling.

The CAS hearing into the case is scheduled for November 20.

Chelsea appealed the two-window transfer ban imposed on the club by FIFA at CAS.

The Blues were given the ban for violating rules relating to the signing of underage players.

Chelsea have already drawn up a shortlist of targets in the event that their transfer ban is overturned.

They have already served one part of the transfer ban during the summer with the last part still to come in January if it is not overturned by CAS.

Chelsea have the likes of RB Leipzig Timo Werner and Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha on their shortlist according to the aforementioned publication.

Timo Werner is one of the most in-form strikers in the German top flight this season after netting nine goals in 10 games for his team.

He has been attracting the interest of other English teams like Liverpool and Manchester United.
