Legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is on the managerial shortlist at German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich according to The Guardian.
Bayern Munich are shopping for a new manager after Niko Kovac was sacked from that role at the weekend.
Croatian tactician Niko Kovac became the Bayern Munich manager last summer and he led the Bavarian giants to a domestic double in his first season at the club.
His last game as the Bayern Munich manager was the 5-1 defeat handed out to them at the home of Europa League campaigners Eintracht Frankfurt.
The defeat left Bayern Munich in fourth spot with 18 points from the first ten games in the German Bundesliga this term.

The Bavarian giants are four points off the top spot currently held by Borussia Moenchengladbach.
Bayern Munich won just two of the last five league games under the guidance of the aforementioned Niko Kovac.
Arsene Wenger is the only manager on the Bayern Munich shortlist with the likes of former AC Milan and Juventus manager Maximiliano Allegri and ex-Schalke 04 manager Ralf Rangnick also in contention for the managerial job at the Allianz Arena.
Ajax Amsterdam manager Erik Ten Hag is also on the shortlist after enhancing his reputation by winning a double at the Dutch club last season in addition to leading the team to the Champions League semifinals.
