Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry was amongst the goalscorers for the Bavarian giants who moved closer to a seventh German Bundesliga title in a row with a thumping win over rivals Borussia Dortmund.

The meeting between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena was seen by many as the title decider but the Bavarian giants made light work of it following the 5-0 thrashing of their rivals in Der Klassiker.

Former Arsenal player Gnabry was on target for Bayern Munich who sealed top spot as a result of the big win over Borussia Dortmund who had held the summit before the game.

Former Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels gave Bayern the lead as early as the 10th minute against his former club before star striker Robert Lewandowski added a second goal for his landmark goal in the German Bundesliga.

It was his 200th Bundesliga goal for both Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich as he came back to haunt his former club whom he left for the Allianz Arena in 2014.

Javi Martinez and Gnabry extended Bayern’s lead to 4-0 at the halftime interval before Lewandowski wrapped up a thumping 5-0 home win over Borussia Dortmund to send the Bavarian giants one point clear of their opponents with six league games left to play.
