Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic scored the first hattrick of his club career after his three goals propelled his new club to a 4-2 away win over Burnley.

Pulisic is in his first season at Chelsea following his 57.1 million pounds move from German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund earlier this year.

The United States of America international has not had the best of starts at Chelsea but that has since changed with his performance against Burnley.

Before the Burnley game, Christian Pulisic had not scored two goals in a league game.

He scored two goals in the first half as he pounced on respective mistakes from Burnley defenders Matt Lowton and James Tarkowski.

Pulisic wrapped up his treble at the start of the second half with his head off a cross from Mason Mount.

The American was able to seize the opportunity given to him by manager Frank Lampard.

It was his first Premier League start since August as he was rewarded for his impressive cameo showings from previous games.

Brazilian international Willian added a fourth goal for Chelsea off an assist from Tammy Abraham before the Burnley duo of Jay Rodriguez and Dwight McNeil scored to make the scoreline more respectable as the game finished 4-2 to Chelsea thanks to the brilliance of a certain Christian Pulisic.
