Former Premier League champions Leicester City have equaled the 24-year old record set by Manchester United for the biggest win margin in the Premier League era.
Manchester United thrashed Ipswich Town 9-0 at home in 1995 to set the Premier League record for the biggest win margin and that has now been equalled by Leicester City who thrashed hapless Southampton 9-0 away from home.
Apart from equalling the record set by Manchester United some 24 years ago, Leicester City also set a new record for the biggest victory away from home in the Premier League.
As a matter of fact, no team has been beaten 9-0 at home in the history of English top flight football.

English striker Jamie Vardy is now the leading goalscorer in the Premier League with nine goals after netting a hattrick during the Southampton game.
Spanish forward Ayoze Perez also scored three goals to make it a second successive hattrick for him against Southampton.
He scored a treble against the Saints while he was still a Newcastle United last season.
Apart from Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez, the likes of Ben Chilwell, Youri Tielemans and James Maddison were all on target for the visitors who climbed above champions Manchester City into second spot on the league table.
