West London giants Chelsea are reportedly in pole position to sign Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell ahead of the other interested teams.

Apart from Chelsea, Ben Chilwell is also attracting the interest of Premier League champions Manchester City and Manchester United.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are favourites to sign the aforementioned Leicester City player.

50 million pounds-rated Chilwell still has less than five years left on his Leicester City contract which is scheduled to run out in the summer of 2024.

The England international made his debut for the Three Lions during an international friendly with Switzerland last year.

Ben Chilwell came through the ranks at Leicester City before making his first team debut.

He has represented the Foxes on 96 occasions.

Chelsea have a transfer ban from world football’s governing body FIFA but that has not stopped the Blues from battling the other teams for the English left-back.

The Blues were handed a two-window transfer ban for breaking the rules relating to the signing of underage players.

Chelsea have appealed the ruling and they are hopeful that the ban will be lifted for them to sign players like Ben Chilwell.

They have already served the transfer ban for a transfer window.
