Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United are said to be plotting a double raid on the German Bundesliga according to the latest media reports in the United Kingdom.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to strengthen his team in the New Year and the German Bundesliga duo of Kai Havertz and Thomas Muller are high on his list of transfer targets.

Kai Havertz plays his club football for German Bundesliga side and Champions League campaigners Bayer Leverkusen, while Thomas Muller is on the payroll of German champions Bayern Munich whom he has scored 110 goals for in 326 games in all competitions.

Manchester United are interested in a 125 million pounds swoop for the two aforementioned German international players according to the publication from the Daily Mirror.

Solskjaer has adopted the policy of grooming and buying young players but Thomas Mueller at the age of 30 is a different case with the Manchester United manager keen to sign an experienced attacker to groom the likes of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial.

On his part, Kai Havertz is one of the most promising players in German football at the moment and Manchester United will have to fend off the likes of Bayern Munich to sign him.
