Five players have been ruled out for Chelsea ahead of their Premier League clash with Burnley at the Turf Moor on Saturday evening.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard gave an injury update on his players during his pre-match press conference on Friday morning and the likes of Ruben Lotus-Cheeks, Ross Barkley, N’Golo Kante, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger will miss the Burnley game.

England international Ruben Loftus-Cheeks is still working his way back to fitness after a long-term injury.

He sustained a serious Achilles injury during a friendly game for Chelsea during the summer and they forced him to miss the Europa League final last season as his Blues teammates beat Arsenal to win the competition.

For French World Cup winner Kante, he has struggled with an ankle problem for the larger part of the new Premier League season.

Christensen, Barkley and Rudiger won’t feature for Chelsea at Burnley as well.

Frank Lampard and his players are on the back of a six-game winning run in all competitions.

Michy Bstshuayi came off the bench to hand Chelsea the winning goal against hosts Ajax Amsterdam in the Champions League in midweek and that was their sixth win in all competitions including three league victories.
