Italian Serie A champions Juventus have identified Benfica defender Ruben Dias as a possible transfer addition ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
This is according to the publication from popular media outlet Goal which claimed that Juventus are ready to spend as much as €60m on the highly rated centre back.
Juventus director Fabio Paratici has watched him on several occasions and the Italians are ready to splash the cash on the 21-year-old.
The Italian champions will have to contend with the likes of Atletico Madrid and Manchester United who are also interested in him.
The Red Devils will definitely strengthen defensively this summer and Ruben Dias is one of their transfer targets.
Juventus will sign two centre backs this summer to replace two of their current players like Andrea Barzagli and Martin Caceres.
Italian international Barzagli will retire at the end of the season while Martin Caceres is also likely to leave the club this summer.
Juventus have already agreed to sign one centre back after a transfer fee was reached for Genoa defender Cristian Romero for a fee believed to be around €30m and Ruben Dias could be the second centre back added to the squad though the Old Lady will still have to battle the aforementioned clubs for the player.
