Raheem Sterling had a hand in all the goals as the Premier League champions had to come from a goal down to pick up their third straight win in the Champions League this season.
Atalanta stunned the Manchester City crowd after taking the lead through Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Marlovskiy who converted a first-half penalty awarded as a result of a foul from the hosts’ skipper Fernandinho.
Raheem Sterling provided the equalizer for Sergio Aguero before he was brought down in the box thus paving the way for Aguero to complete his brace from the spot and give Manchester City a 2-1 lead at the halftime interval.
