Why Man Utd Won’t Spend £60m On This Goalscoring Midfielder

Scotland international John McGinn is arguably the best player in Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side but that could change in January as United are very much keen on capturing the young midfielder.
Three goals from nine games, McGinn is one of the club’s leading goalscorers and the manager has revealed his readiness to block United from snatching the 25-year-old from his watch in the winter transfer window.
According to the Aston Villa manager, it’s no surprise that the midfielder’s price tag has increased [from £2.75m to £60m] since the start of the season because his performances have obviously improved to another level of greatness.

“His value shot up from the moment he went out onto Villa Park and showed what a player he is. He has an unbelievable energy level, a big, big heart but people don’t see the technical side of it as well – he’s got that in abundance.
“He’s continued that form in the Premier League and his value would have certainly shot up but he’s a player who we want at Aston Villa.”
As much as nothing is impossible, I don’t see United spending such huge money on a player who hasn’t played for any top European clubs in his career.
