Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has assured wantaway striker Olivier Giroud that he’ll get more playing time to show him the quality that he possesses amidst the numerous transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the club when the transfer market reopens in the New Year.
After the Newcastle United game at the weekend, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard was asked about Giroud and his desire for more playing time.
Frank Lampard urged Giroud to be more patient and that he’ll get the chance to impress.
He went on to say that he doesn’t want him to leave Chelsea during the winter transfer window.

Olivier Giroud had previously talked about leaving Chelsea in the New Year in search of more playing time.
The French World Cup winner has dropped to third on the striker pecking order at Chelsea.
The former Arsenal and Montpellier striker is the third choice striker at Chelsea right no behind the duo of Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham.
Olivier Giroud is keen to retain his spot in the France starting XI ahead of the 2020 European Championship next summer and he would have to play football on a regular basis as already pointed out by manager Didier Deschamps.
