Tottenham Hotspur have targeted Real Madrid midfielder Isco as the man to replace wantaway player Christian Eriksen.

Danish international Christian Eriksen could leave the North London club in the winter transfer window in January and Spanish international playmaker Isco is seen as a direct replacement for him at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This is according to the publication from the stables of the Daily Express.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has less than one year remaining on his contract at his club at the moment and he could start to negotiate with clubs outside of England as from the start of next year.

When he has six months left on his Spurs contract, Christian Eriksen can start to negotiate a free transfer move with foreign teams.

Eriksen was linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer but nothing came out of it.

Manchester United, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are some of the clubs that were linked with the former Ajax Amsterdam player during the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur will have to sell him in the January transfer window to prevent him from walking away from the club on a free transfer next summer when his current deal runs out.
