Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has returned to training ahead of the Premier League clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford this weekend.

It remains to be seen whether the 21-year-old will make the Manchester United squad for the Liverpool game billed for Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah is working his way back to full fitness after a serious knee injury.

The Dutchman suffered the dreaded ACL injury while he was on loan at Fulham last season.

He was at Fulham on loan last season but the ACL injury suffered during the Premier League game against hosts Everton at Goodison Park.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah made his debut for Manchester United four years ago during the Premier League win over Arsenal but he has not kicked on from his impressive performance during that game.

That league game at home to Arsenal also saw the debut of a certain Marcus Rashford in the Premier League.

Marcus Rashford was the star of that game after the England international scored a brace to give his team victory over the Gunners.

Manchester United fans would be looking out for the same impact from Marcus Rashford when they welcome league leaders Liverpool to the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday.
