Leicester City midfielder James Maddison has been told to snub Manchester United for Liverpool when he decides to leave his present club.

This is according to former Liverpool midfielder Steve McMahon who said that joining the Merseyside club would be a better choice for him.

Steve McMahon spoke about James Maddison in an interview with Stadium Astro.

James Maddison was linked with several Premier League sides in the summer but nothing came out of those transfer links as he ended up staying at Leicester City after his debut campaign with them.

The England international joined the Foxes from Norwich City last summer for a fee believed to be around 24 million pounds.

The transfer links involving him and Premier League sides like Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have resurfaced on the back of his impressive displays for Leicester City at the start of the Premier League season.

James Maddison has been one of the best players at the start of this season and he has scored two league goals in seven appearances for his team.

Manchester United are serious about signing him in the January transfer window as he’s at the top of their midfield targets and they are expected to face resistance from Leicester City and the other interested clubs.
