French national team manager Didier Deschamps has encouraged Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud to leave the Premier League club for more playing time.
Didier Deschamps revealed that Giroud is under pressure to keep his place as the central striker in the French team mainly due to his lack of playing time at Chelsea.
He talked about Olivier Giroud during his post-match press conference after the Euro 2020 qualifier between France and Turkey which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Giroud came off the bench to give France a 76th minute lead before Kaan Ayhan secured a point for the visitors in the final minutes of the game.
Didier Deschamps hinted that Giroud will have to leave Chelsea for more playing time if he wants to stay in his starting XI.
Giroud has featured for just 187 minutes for Chelsea this season and Didier Deschamps explained that it was the reason behind him starting just one of the two Euro 2020 qualifiers this month.
He scored the winning goal for France during last week’s slim 1-0 victory at the home of Iceland.
Giroud started that game but he was left out of the XI for the Turkey game on Monday night.
His striker against Turkey makes his three goals in the last four games for France.
