Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is interested in a move for Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic according to the latest reports coming out of the Italian media.
Conte had a good working relationship with Serbian international Matic while he was the Chelsea manager.
According to the publication from popular Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan want to sign the Manchester United midfielder in a cut-price deal when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Nemanja Matic has less than one year left on his contract at Manchester United though the club reserves the right to extend it by an additional year.
The Serbian midfielder has found playing time hard to come by at Manchester United this season especially in the Premier League.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has favoured younger players since the start of the season and that policy has affected the aforementioned Matic.
His place in midfield has been taken by young Scottish international midfielder Scott McTominay.
Matic was linked with a move to Inter Milan in the summer but nothing came out of the numerous transfer links.
He became a Manchester United player in the summer of 2017 in a 40 million pounds deal.
Matic joined Manchester United from Premier League rivals, Chelsea.
