Manchester United have been handed a triple injury boost ahead of the crucial Premier League clash at home to league leaders Liverpool.

The Red Devils will host the Premier League leaders in a week nine game at Old Trafford on Sunday evening and they could witness the return of three players.

The likes of Paul Pogba, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are in line to return to the Manchester United starting XI ahead of the game against Liverpool.

First choice striker Anthony Martial is also on course for his first appearance in almost two months ahead of the Liverpool match later this month.

Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial have not played for the Red Devils since their respective injuries against Crystal Palace in August.

England international Shaw was taken off during the first half of the Palace game because of injury, while Martial played the entire duration of the game which ended in a 2-1 loss at home.

For Paul Pogba, the French World Cup winner has missed five of the last seven Manchester United games because of a troublesome ankle injury.

He’s expected to return to the team for the Liverpool game.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has missed the last three matches because of tonsillitis but he has fully recovered to take his place in the team to face Liverpool on Sunday.
