New Manchester United signing Harry Maguire has had his say on the world-record transfer fee that took him to the club in the summer.

England international centre back Maguire moved to Manchester United from fellow Premier League side Leicester City for 80 million pounds during the recently concluded transfer window.

The transfer fee made him the most expensive defender in the history of the round leather game ahead of previous recipient Virgil Van Dijk.

Dutch international Van Dijk joined Liverpool from fellow Premier League side Southampton for 75 million pounds at the start of 2018.

On his transfer fee and the pressure attached to it, Harry Maguire told Inside United that he’s not bothered at all.

He went on to say that the transfer fee was not decided by him and that it was between Manchester United and Leicester City.

Harry Maguire spent two seasons with the Foxes before he left to join Manchester United.

The English international centre back has not had the best of times at Manchester United since joining the Red Devils in the summer.

Harry Maguire has helped Manchester United keep two clean sheets but results have not been good mainly due to problems in their attack.

Manchester United have the fourth best defence in the Premier League with eight goals conceded.
