Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United will have to part with the sum of seven million pounds as the severance package for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if they have to relieve him of his duties.

Former club striker Solskjaer is fighting to save his job as the Manchester United manager after just eight league games.

Manchester United have been involved in several payouts since the end of the Sir Alex Ferguson era at the club in 2013.

Manchester United have had to hand payouts to former managers like Jose Mourinho, David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal after their respective dismissals.

The Red Devils chief executive Ed Woodward recently announced record revenues of 627 million pounds last month and this figure included the 19.6 million pounds paid to Jose Mourinho when the Portuguese tactician was relieved of his duties as Manchester United manager in December.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Mourinho as the Manchester United manager in December on a temporary basis before the deal was made permanent in March 2019.

The aforementioned seven million pounds payout for Solskjaer, if he’s sacked, will be the lowest in the club’s modern history.

Solskjaer has masterminded the Red Devils’ worst league start in three decades after nine points from the first eight games this season.
