Manchester United star agrees to new deal with the club

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has finally agreed to new contractual terms with the English side, as announced by the club’s official website.

The estranged star initially appeared to be on the verge of an exit from Old Trafford after turning down a reportedly offered one-year extension to his contract which was due to expire this summer

However, the Belgian has made a U-turn and finally resolved his future by penning a new contract which was revealed by the club as a year deal which could be further extended to an additional year.

Fellaini, 30, is also set to earn 113,000 pounds weekly, which is an estimate of around 13 million pounds over the duration of the two- year deal

The deal has seemingly excited Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho who still remains a keen admirer of the frizzle-haired star despite not appearing to be a fan favourite since his switch from Everton in 2015

The Portuguese manager stated

’I’m very happy Marouane is staying with us

‘’I always believed in his desire to stay with the club and I’m delighted that he has signed a new contract’’

The combative midfielder though would be hopeful of featuring more prominently for the Red Devils next season after having made just 22 appearances due to his battle with niggling injuries last term
