According to the Daily Star, Manchester United have three manager options if they decide to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their manager following an underwhelming start to the new season.

The three managers are Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino, former Juventus and AC Milan manager Maximiliano Allegri and Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Pochettino was the favourites for the managerial job upon the sacking of Jose Mourinho in December before the Red Devils hierarchy appointed Solskjaer on a temporary deal.

His performance in the job prompted the Manchester United bosses to hand the former club striker the managerial reign on a permanent basis.

Mauricio Pochettino led Spurs to the Champions League final last season but he has not been able to replicate that success this season with his team struggling in midtable just like Manchester United.

For Allegri, the Italian tactician resigned from his job as the Juventus manager this summer despite the fact that he had one year left on his then contract with the Italian champions.

He is in the frame for the Manchester United job if they decide to sack Solskjaer.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is also in the running for the big job at Old Trafford.
