Why United Fans Shouldn’t Be Surprised To See ‘Five’ New Signings In January

Manchester United fans shouldn’t be surprised if five players are added to Solskjaer’s team in the next transfer window as the club legend Ryan Giggs believes that’s the only solution to the problem at Old Trafford.

Ryan Giggs, who was highly rated by United faithfuls during his active days at Old Trafford, told reporters that Solskjaer needed seven or eight players during the summer but the manager only completed his moves for three players — Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire.

To this effect, Giggs predicted that the manager could add five players to his team in January if he must qualify for next season’s Champions League competition.

He said in an interview with The Sun that: “I see what Ole is doing and I support that. He’s brought in three players but he probably needs seven or eight,”.

” So he needs another four or five. But you can’t do that over one transfer window, so you have to be patient because it will be slow” he said.

Speaking about the club’s poor start to this season, Giggs called on all United fans to be patient with the Norwegian tactician who needs much time to turn things around for good.

“What he is trying to do was much needed. He needs time.” he said.

“When you don’t win regularly at big clubs you are going to get criticism. Everyone needs time and a bit of luck. Every top manager has had luck along the way.” he said.

United will hope to get the much-needed three points when they tackle Newcastle in Sunday’s match-day 8th fixture at the St James Park.
