Things continue to get tougher for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as his side played a boring goalless draw with Eredivisie side Alkmaar in one of Thursday’s Europa League encounters.
It is speculated that the Norwegian boss could be shown the exit door sooner than expected should he fail to turn things around at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer is obviously at the danger of being fired by his employers, and Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has urged the Red Devils not to think of hiring Arsene Wenger as Solskjaer’s replacement.
Wenger has been without a club since he left the Emirates Stadium last year and some reports are linking him with a return to Premier League as United manager.
Parlour, who was once tutored by the Frenchman, believes his former boss isn’t the best candidate for United’s job and he shouldn’t be returning to the Premier League having spent 20 at Arsenal.
“What club would he go to in the Premier League? He could never go to Manchester United… I would be amazed if Arsene was to come back to the Premier League” he said.
According to him, Wenger should be perfect for PSG job and not United Or any other Premier League offer.
“But he has got a lot more to offer. I always thought he might go back to Japan. That league is improving all the time and he had a really good time there before joining Arsenal.”
During his days at Arsenal, the Frenchman led the club to three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup victories.
