Manchester United legend Gary Neville has slammed midfielder Fred for failing to make a positive impact at the club.

Fred came on as a second-half substitute during the latest league game against Arsenal at Old Trafford on Monday night and the Brazilian international didn’t do much as the two teams settled for a 1-1 draw.

In his post-match reaction to the game between former club Manchester United and Arsenal on Sky Sports, Gary Neville singled out Fred for criticism.

The former Manchester United right-back expressed his disappointment at Fred who has struggled to make a positive impact at the club following his big-money move from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk last summer.

Just like Fred, Manchester United have struggled for points at the start of the new Premier League season.

The Red Devils have made their worst start to the Premier League after recording just nine points from the first seven league games of the season.

Manchester United have won two, drawn three and lost two of their seven league games this season.

Their third draw came against Arsenal on Monday night after the second half goal from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cancelled out the first half strike from young Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay.
