Valencia got the only goal of the game through Rodrigo who profited from an assist from club captain Dani Parejo.
After the game, Frank Lampard talked about that crucial penalty miss.
According to him, England international midfielder Ross Barkley is the designated penalty taker for Chelsea whenever he’s on the pitch.
Chelsea were left with an additional injury to deal with after young midfielder Mason Mount was taken off in the first half of the Valencia game.
Mason Mount sustained an ankle injury after just 16 minutes of the Champions League match and he was replaced by Pedro Rodriguez.
