The Premier League legend predicted the game between AZ Alkmaar and Manchester United in a chat with BetVictor.
According to the former Liverpool, Newcastle United and Stoke City striker, Manchester United would be beaten by AZ Alkmaar.
Ahead of the game, Manchester United are unbeaten in 12 Europa League games dating back to when they won the competition during the 2015/16 season.
Manchester United have won nine and drawn three of those games.
The Red Devils started their Europa League campaign with a slim victory over Astana FC of Kazakhstan.
