Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk has had his say on the early lead over Premier League champions Manchester City this season.
Manchester City have won the last two league titles but they trail Liverpool by five points at the top of the Premier League table after seven games.
According to The Mirror, Virgil Van Dijk said that it’s too early to talk about the Premier League title.
Liverpool have won all their seven league games this season including the slim win at the home of newly promoted outfit Sheffield United at the weekend.
The Reds made it seven wins out of seven games with the 1-0 victory over hosts Sheffield United.
Liverpool found things tough until Dutch international Georginio Wijnaldum scored the only goal of the game on the 70th-minute mark.
The win over the Blades opened an eight-point lead over holders Manchester City who played later and were able to reduce the lead back to five points.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola didn’t start the likes of Sergio Aguero and Bernardo Silva but still had more than enough firepower to beat Everton away from home.
The 3-1 win at Everton ensured that Manchester City move within five points of league leaders Liverpool.

Manchester United were missing the services of several key players and that played a major role as the Red Devils were completely dominated from start to finish.
Liverpool had a dominant first half against Manchester United and they were rewarded with a powerful header from Virgil Van Dijk before Mohamed Salah scored his first ever goal against the Red Devils to wrap up the points in added time.

Kurzawa, 27, could be the first signing under new manager Mikel Arteta who has spent just one month in his new job.
Mikel Arteta was named the Gunners manager in December 2019 having been player at the club for five years until his retirement in 2016.
He has overseen two wins, three draws and one defeats since his appointment as the Gunners boss last month including the record of just one win in five Premier League games.

Emre Can left Liverpool at the start of the last campaign shortly after his contract Anfield ran out.
He had signed a four-year contract at Liverpool upon joining them from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014.
Emre Can was a first-team regular under Maximiliano Allegri in his debut season at Juventus but that status has changed since Maurizio Sarri replaced Allegri as the Juventus manager last summer and he was even left out of the Champions League squad for this season last year.
