West London giants Chelsea have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash with Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend.

Chelsea host Brighton at Stamford Bridge in a week seven clash.

Ahead of the Brighton game, Frank Lampard confirmed that the duo of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James are in the squad.

Lampard confirmed this during his pre-match press conference on Friday morning.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James both made a return from injury for the Carabao Cup clash in midweek.

The two players were on target as Chelsea thrashed English League Two side Grimsby Town 7-1 in their Carabao Cup third round clash.

Callum Hudson-Odoi played his first game of the season for Chelsea after recovering from a serious Achilles injury.

He suffered the injury at the end of last season.

On his part, right-back Reece James also played his first game of the season after recovering from the injury that he sustained while he was on duty with England’s junior team this summer.

Frank Lampard led Chelsea to only his first win at home since he was appointed the Blues manager in the summer and he would be targeting a second straight win ahead of the Brighton game.
