Nigerian-born English midfielder Miguel Azeez has been handed his first professional contract at Arsenal.

He has signed a three-year contract with the North London giants.

The news of his first professional contract was announced by Arsenal on Tuesday via their various social media accounts.

Miguel Azeez has represented England at the u17 level on several occasions.

The Arsenal midfielder has scored 12 goals in 14 games for the young Three Lions of England.

The 17-year-old was not in the Arsenal team that thrashed English Championship side Nottingham Forest in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Some youth team players were in the Arsenal squad for the game but Miguel Azeez was not one of them.

Arsenal thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-0 at home courtesy the goals from Gabriel Martinelli (2), Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock and Rob Holding.

The Gunners secured a straightforward victory over Nottingham Forest to secure a fourth round berth in the Carabao Cup.

Arsenal defender Rob Holding made a scoring return to the team in his first game back from injury.

Scottish international star Kieran Tierney also made his return from injury during the game.

It was his first game for Arsenal since he joined the North Londoners from Scottish champions Celtic in the summer.

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin also made his return from injury during the Nottingham Forest game.
